Oshkosh AeroTech is a leading provider of aviation ground support products, gate equipment and airport services to commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handling and military customers. Responsibilities include responding to and clearing faults in the baggage handling system timely, transporting baggage within the baggage handling area, reporting potential system failure issues, completing entry level Maintenance Mechanic duties as needed, assisting with operational issues during outages or failures, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, complying with company safety programs and trainings, working productively in a diverse environment, and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include HS Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred, valid driver's license, experience with airport operations a plus, ability to be badged for secure airport areas, ability to work day or night shifts including weekends and holidays, ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and regularly lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, fumes, chemicals, cold, vibration, loud noise, and working on airport ramps around aircraft and heavy equipment.
