Job Description

Boston Volvo Cars  is looking for an  experienced Automotive General Sales Manager to join their team.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $125,000-$200,000

Responsibilities

  • Monitor DOC (Daily Operating Control) and recommend courses of action, where necessary
  • Work closely with the BDC department to ensure all internet and phone leads are being handled properly and efficiently
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Corporate team to facilitate all advertising for the Sales department
  • Participate in the preparation of the quarterly dealership forecast by projecting sales, gross, expenses, and profits with all departments to ensure proper coverage as well as profitability and compliance
  • Responsible for all aspects of the selling system such as demo line, product display, etc.
  • Oversee and approve the acquisition of all new and used inventory for the dealership
  • Responsible for finance paperwork processing
  • Ensure all factory monies are processed and received in conjunction with the accounting office
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all salespeople
  • Ensure that all sales personnel become factory-certified
  • Assist individual salespeople in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives, and provide them with the support to meet these goals
  • Assist salespeople in closing deals, including creating follow-up communications with customers to increase closing percentages
  • Supervise the efforts of salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership
  • Direct and schedule the activities of salespeople to ensure proper staffing at all times
  • Ensure that salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures
  • Stay abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
  • Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager
  • Must be available to work Saturdays
  • Knowledgeable in vAuto appraisal system
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and coach a sales team
  • Professional management style, outgoing personality, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • Strong customer service and follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license
