Position: BMS Installation and Service Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS (Building Management System) Installation and Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the installation and servicing of a wide range of BMS platforms, including Honeywell, Distech, Trane, Johnson Controls, Carrier, and Siemens. This position involves installing, configuring, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining BMS controls to ensure optimal building performance. Training will be provided to help the candidate succeed in this role and expand their technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extensive training will be provided on BMS platforms, including Honeywell and Distech systems.
  • Perform complete BMS installations, including mounting, wiring, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair BMS system issues, including communication issues and hardware failures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system optimization.
  • Work with electrical, mechanical, and control system drawings and specifications.
  • Test and validate system functionality to meet design and operational requirements.
  • Interface with customers to provide technical support, training, and system handover.
  • Upgrade and integrate new components with existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Maintain documentation of all installations and service work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in BMS installation and service.
  • Strong knowledge of Honeywell, Distech, Trane, Johnson Controls, Carrier, and Siemens systems.
  • Must have HVAC experience and a thorough understanding of HVAC equipment (e.g., AHUs, VAVs, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, RTUs).
  • Experience with communication protocols, including:
    • BACnet
    • Lon Works
    • Modbus
    • Proprietary protocols (e.g., Siemens P1, Johnson N2, Trane, Carrier CCN)
