This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Chief Engineer (Facilities) to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Chief Engineer for facilities, you will lead and manage our facilities engineering team which is responsible for the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery necessary to support our customer's daily operations. You will lead this multi-disciplinary team of engineering and facility management professionals and be responsible for planning, directing, and managing all phases of equipment, electrical, mechanical, and building systems maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from design through implementation. You will interact with the government customer, your team members, and contractors executing facilities projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in facilities engineering.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • HS Diploma or GED with over eight years of experience in facilities engineering. Bachelors degree is a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Master HVAC License
  • Refrigeration Certification
  • Proven experience managing a facilities engineering team.
  • Experience in managing maintenance operations and construction/renovation projects
  • Experience working with customers to help plan and implement capital improvement projects.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and their associated maintenance and operations.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art building management practices
  • Experience in the operation, replacement, and repair of chillers, power generators, pumps, motors, air handlers, HVAC units, and UPS systems
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to include engineers, CAD technicians, maintenance workers, and others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired:

  • Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited program and a Professional Engineering license

Basic Compensation:

$134,800 - $202,200

This range is for the Maryland area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
