RYAN CARVALHO & RETZ LLP is a fast paced, AV rated Civil Litigation law firm located in Mission Valley that has an immediate full-time position for an Administrative Legal Assistant with 0-2 years of experience in California litigation. Specific civil, personal injury, construction defect and insurance defense experience is a plus.
This candidate must possess the following skills:
Duties will include interaction with staff and attorneys on a daily basis; proofreading professional correspondence, reports, legal pleadings and discovery and transmit finished work product to clients, opposing counsel, experts, etc.; serving discovery and filing/serving legal pleadings with various Courts throughout California utilizing vendors such as OneLegal, CaseAnywhere, File&ServeXpress, Pacer-CM/ECF; and learning calendar dates and deadlines from pre-litigation cases through trial/appeals.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree, have a strong work ethic and excellent proofreading, written and oral communication skills. Proficiency a plus in: Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar), Word Perfect, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Worldox.
