Job Description:

In this role, you will play a vital part in our mission to 'Attract the Best Nerds to Nerdify the Planet' by installing and servicing solar panels, conducting physical site surveys, and assisting with roofing projects to ensure efficient solar power conversion and roof integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively and professionally communicate with customers during initial greetings and phone conversations.
  
• Collaborate efficiently with centralized scheduling and permitting departments, following provided instructions.
  
• Conduct physical site surveys using company-provided tools and equipment, documenting project sites with photos using smartphone applications.
  
• Independently perform site survey activities and attend field inspections, following instructions from inspectors.
  
• Commission solar systems and verify production, adhering to strict safety guidelines.
  
• Assist with roofing projects, including inspecting roofs, providing estimates, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring the installation of vapor barriers and insulation.
  

Related Experience and Educational Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems.
  
• High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences.
  
• Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
  
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in high places.
  
• Organizational skills for maintaining paper documents and electronic files.
  
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing survey and permit documents.
  
• Proficiency with smartphone applications and basic computer skills.
  

Preferred Requirements:

• OSHA 10 Certification.
  
• Understanding of NEC codes, with an emphasis on residential PV installations is a plus
  
• 1+ Years working on a roof
