Brief Summary of Job Description


Join our campus construction team and lead exciting projects in your area of expertise. We are seeking skilled professionals in the following trades to assist with our maintenance and construction efforts: Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry. Salary range $60K to $90K depending on experience.

Job Duties


As part of the overall campus construction team, this position will act as the lead on construction projects that focus on plumbing related tasks. This position will provide oversight and coordination of all work activities, including but not limited to, layout/design, estimating, material ordering, work scheduling, permitting, and the installation and maintenance of plumbing components. As the lead, this position will engage with requesting departments to understand, guide, plan, and implement the desired outcome. Have and maintain knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements such as the International Plumbing Code. Successfully work independently or as part of a team, based on the unique requirements of each project

For non-plumbing construction projects, this position will assist other team members, acting in similar lead roles for their specific trades, as needed to perform a multitude of construction activities. These activities may include tasks related to electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC, and other trades connected to the construction industry.

Required Qualifications


High School Diploma or GED; Must have at least five years' experience in commercial plumbing, including considerable knowledge of related tools, equipment, materials, safety practices, installation techniques of new and remodel plumbing construction. Requires a Master Plumber License recognized by the City of Kearney or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, and a valid Nebraska State Driver's License. Must be willing to assist other trades as needed to contribute to the overall construction team.

Preferred Qualifications


At least two years' experience supervising a plumbing crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing systems and components.

Salary range $60K to $90K depending on experience. This position is considered essential personnel based on job responsibilities. In the event of a campus incident, this position may be required to report to work, even during periods when the campus is closed, due to its essential nature.
