Job Summary

The crisis therapist is responsible for responding to crises in the Living Room either in-person or remotely. The crisis therapist will also assist with seeing clients short-term who are on the waitlist. This staff is responsible for clinical services provided to children, adolescents and/or adults, as assigned. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

This position requires on-call, after-hour Living Room crisis coverage for 90 days out of the Calendar year (including some holidays and covering Monday-Sunday) which is to be planned and scheduled with the crisis supervisor. This means that you need to be available and accessible on your planned days from 7am-9am and 8pm-midnight. On-call days are subject to change and be different from your normal work days and also allow flexibility to change on-call shifts if needed. Josselyn reserves the right to adjust your schedule based on the organization's needs.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Provide crisis support to Living Room clients and peer specialists as needed either in-person or remotely
  • Provides Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families
  • Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment (Completes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modifies and reviews as needed, updates and records IATP in CIS as needed and ensures updates are completed prior to six months due date)
  • Meet productivity expectation of 30% monthly
  • Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
  • Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed
  • All Progress Notes will be entered into the medical record as soon as possible but in no more than three business days of the date of service
  • Provide timely completion of Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) (for adults)
  • Provide timely completion of Columbia and Ohio Scales (for children)
  • Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
  • Maintain productivity goals as determined by supervisor
  • Keep weekly schedule current
  • Be responsive to the business office regarding client fees/payments
  • Complete requests time off in a timely through the Crisis Supervisor
  • Participate in Accreditation and Certification processes as directed
  • Participate in Committee Work as directed
  • Participate in Strategic Planning as appropriate
  • Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
  • Represent the agency with integrity
  • Provide clinical supervision to student intern

Qualifications

  • Clinically related graduate degree, LPC,LSW required
  • Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work
  • 1 Year of post Master's degree Mental Health experience required (2,000 hours)
