About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and innovative leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Business and Economics. The successful candidate will be the chief academic and administrative officer of the College, responsible for providing strategic leadership, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the educational success of a diverse student body. This role involves working closely with faculty and staff to advance the College's mission, managing the budget, and leading strategic fundraising initiatives. The Dean will also be a key figure in engaging with external partners, including industry, the local community, and alumni, to enhance the College's programs and opportunities for students. Candidates for the Dean position should have an earned doctorate, a distinguished record of academic excellence, and leadership experience in an academic setting. The role requires a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the ability to inspire and unify the College community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in faculty recruitment and retention, and experience in fostering a culture of research and scholarship. They should be adept at building and maintaining relationships, both within the institution and with external stakeholders, and have a strong understanding of academic finances. The Dean will be expected to work within the College's shared governance structures and to represent the College at various forums and professional organizations.
