Bakery Delivery Drivers at Commonplace Coffee have the essential function of making sure all food items made at Commonplace Bakery in Indiana, PA arrive safely and quickly at Commonplace Retail and Wholesale locations across Western PA. In addition, they are responsible for transporting other relevant Commonplace items between Pittsburgh and Indiana, including, but not limited to, coffee, allied products, documents, receipts, and partner gluten-free pastries.Full and part time roles available. Part-time will take place on Friday and Saturday; Full-time is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Shifts begin at 2-3 a.m. and end between 10-11 a.m.Essential FunctionsPack baked goods and other food items into appropriate containers to be delivered to Commonplace Retail locations.Load Commonplace vehicle with containers and prepare for delivery to shops.Drive a commercial transit van from the bakery in Indiana PA to Pittsburgh Commonplace Coffee shops and partner wholesale shops. While at each shop retrieve the bins from previous delivery and return to the bakery.Track amount of food items that are delivered vs. how many were ordered.Take recycling from Indiana locations and the bakery weekly.Pick up necessary items from Restaurant Depot in Pittsburgh weekly or as needed and deliver to the bakery.Maintain the vehicle, ensuring that it is kept clean and that routine maintenance is up to date.QualificationsAbility to work early morning shift or night shift with a clear mind and safe approach.Clean driving record, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.Comfortably drive in typical Pennsylvania weather throughout the year.Strong interpersonal skills.Consistent demonstration of integrity and reliability.Ability to solve complex problems with multiple variables.Ability to communicate well with others.Ability to work efficiently independently.Physical DemandsStand and walk - must be able to stand, lift and carry for 8-10 hour shifts.Sitting and driving - must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time in a vehicle.Perform repetitive tasks - must be able to complete repetitive motions with the hands, wrists and forearms.Spatial awareness for cutting, packing and general handling of goods.Oral and electronic communication must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with team members.Carry weight, lift must be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Work environment.Work is performed at the bakery, coffee shops and on the road.The work environment can be noisy.
