HOW A DEVOPSS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives.
  • Successful candidate will have extensive experience engineering efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and developing strategic plans to introduce or improve cloud best practices.
  • Ideal candidate will have documented experience as a developer and be passionate about cloud technologies.
  • Work with different IT professionals and development teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization and customers in the most cost effective manner possible.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Experience: 15+ years
  • Technical skills:
  • A bility to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
  • Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
  • Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
  • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible. 
  • Documented experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous deliver
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team. 
  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
  • Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team 
  • Security Clearance Level : Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Desired Skills:
  • Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection process
  • Able to troubleshoot and support COTS and GOTS applications within a Windows/Azure hosted environment
  • Location : Chantilly, VA customer site

The likely salary range for this position is $175,845 - $237,908. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
