Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility, 90 of which are Long Term and 30 Short Term.

DIETARY AIDE POSITION EVENINGS (PART TIME 20 HOURS PER WEEK)

$17/hour

As dietary aide, you will help to prepare and serve food in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services. This is a part time position (20 hours per week) from 4-8 pm or 3-8 pm including every other weekend. $17.50/hour
Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Help prepare food/meals
- Washing/cleaning/washroom duties
- Delivery of food to facility residents
- Assists in kitchen as needed
- Must be 16 or older

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess, at a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train the right candidate!

Avon Health Center is just a 15-20 minute ride from Hartford! 84 West to Exit 39/Route 4.

• Work independently and as a team player
• Communicate well
• Deal tactfully with resident, family members, and staff
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the department
