Overview The Technology Support Manager at the Department of Public Service (DPS) will oversee the needs of Vermont State Police Operational Technology (OT), including the body/cruiser camera program and radio equipment.
The role requires a high level of proficiency in vendor management, technical acumen, technology management, radio technologies, and written/oral communication. Duties include developing short- and long-range plans/programs related to the organization's OT requirements to support the VSP mission and goals. Duties are performed with significant independence. Work is performed with routine interaction with all levels of the Vermont State Police (VSP), other state agencies, outside vendors, and other law enforcement organizations. The position will supervise the current Data & Information Coordinator.

Environmental Factors Duties are typically performed in a standard office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in technology management or support, radio technologies, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in relevant technical field.
Experience with vendor management.
Experience as manager, supervisor, or team lead.
