EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma; some college preferred. Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer focus.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathetic personality with concern for patients’ needs. Strong organization with attention to detail. Ability to work as a team member. Demonstrated computer literacy. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicating to patients, including informing patients about tests and obtaining patient history. Performing accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks. Performing duties consistent with ophthalmic writer/scribe. Assisting physicians as needed. Performing patient triage. Maintaining instruments.
