A global leader in textile innovation is seeking an Environmental Manager for its GA manufacturing facility. The Environmental Manager is responsible for leading environmental compliance and sustainability efforts. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and internal policies (including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA), manages permitting and reporting, and partners with operations to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental compliance programs covering air, water, and waste regulations.
• Prepare, generate, and submit regulatory reports and supporting documentation (e.g., engineering calculations, compliance reports, Tier II/TRI, SWPPP/SPCC, permit applications).
• Oversee and lead the Land Application System (LAS) Team, ensuring proper operation, maintenance, sampling, documentation, and permit performance.
• Inspect plant facilities to evaluate compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage environmental projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Serve as primary liaison with state and federal agencies on compliance and permitting matters; maintain knowledge of Georgia permitting requirements.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise, train, and develop direct reports; foster a culture of environmental excellence and employee engagement.
• Maintain accurate environmental data and documentation; conduct data analysis to drive decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, reporting, and permitting (EPA, state EPD, RCRA, Clean Air/Water Acts).
• Experience supervising staff and managing cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints.
