Estimator/Sales – Commercial Painting/ Commercial Waterproofing 

Compensation: $85k -$115K Base + Commission

 

A growing waterproofing/sealant/painting company in San Diego is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. We are looking for an individual with strong sales skills who works independently and well with a team. The ability to multitask different things throughout the day is a must, no day is the same!

 

This position consists of reaching out to new clients for business and maintaining relationships. You will work closely with property managers, engineers, and project managers to make sure the correct scope of work is agreed upon. This person will create the estimate, including the scope of work, labor, material, etc.

This position will be responsible for making sure all jobs run smoothly.

 

Key Duties

• Meet with contacts – create job scope, measure areas that need repair
• Create estimate – write up proposal and work with budgets
• Oversee all jobs - manage project from higher elevation than Superintendent
• Maintain relationships, reach out to new contacts, jobs walks, sales presentations

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional outside sales experience (construction or construction services experience and/or selling to property managers, homeowners’ associations, and facilities managers – sales experience in this industry is a plus).
• Strong business writing and math skills
• MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge and use of BlueBeam or other estimation software
• Mentally focused, motivated, and driven to succeed
