Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant - Expanded Functions
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant with expanded functions to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Perform expanded functions such as taking radiographs, applying sealants, and assisting with restorative procedures.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatments and procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with expanded functions certification.
- Previous experience in a dental assisting role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in dental software and electronic health records.
