Looking for a leader in the food manufacturing industry who develops, implements, and oversees quality standards, processes, and systems to ensure products/services meet internal, external, and regulatory requirements, involving team leadership, audits, testing protocols, documentation, root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement for consistent quality and compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Systems : Design and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality control procedures, and inspection workflows.
• Team Leadership : Manage, train, and develop the QA team, including performance evaluations.
• Compliance & Audits : Ensure adherence to regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA, FAA), conduct audits, and manage non-conformance tracking.
• Testing & Monitoring : Oversee product testing, define quality metrics, and analyze data to identify trends.
• Documentation : Maintain technical records, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy.
• Improvement & Risk : Identify quality issues, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions (CAPA), and drive process improvements.
• Communication : Serve as a liaison with other departments (sales, operations) and customers regarding quality issues

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and relevant industry standards (ISO, GMP).
• Experience with auditing, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Experience with SQF certification
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities

Leadership and Experience Skills

• Ability to gather and analyze data about the company’s products or services
• Understanding the production process or type of service provided by the company
• Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to their industry
• Ability to prepare concise and informative reports that summarize their key findings
• Ability to communicate with other employees about quality standards and how to achieve them
• Ability to manage a busy work schedule with a variety of tasks and deadlines
