Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Reports To: General QC Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring vendor compliance with company food safety requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, researching regulatory requirements, managing inspection reports, and supporting quality assurance initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and maintain state-level food code regulations including demo crew, weights and measures, retail pricing, and general health programs.
• Review, follow up on, and file public health inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate cheese and finished goods inventory.
• Support quality assurance programs including monitoring dock temperatures and ensuring product quality throughout the distribution center.
• Ensure item documentation is current and uploaded into the company database.
• Input product safety information into internal allergen tracking systems.
• Post and track third-party vendor audits.
• Flag non-compliant vendors for follow-up.
• Track product rejections and save in QA files.
• Maintain regulatory tracking sheets and report to compliance teams.
• Assist with various quality assurance projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Certification and ability to operate warehouse equipment.
• Effective verbal communication skills for issue resolution.
• Understanding of distribution practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.

Reasoning Ability:

Must effectively communicate across all levels of management. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in varying temperatures within a distribution center.
