Position: GFT Sim Tech Posted: 04/14/2025 Contingent upon contract award Location: Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA Duty Description: The employee will serve as the NIPR ICAN Team Lead and perform IAT I, IAT II, and ISSO duties supporting the Mission Training Complex (MTC) buildings. Responsibilities include managing NIPR and SIPR ICAN support, maintaining security documentation, supporting network exercises, and performing system administration tasks. The role requires independent work, technical expertise, and coordination with various organizational units. The employee will: Support all MTC users with hardware, software, and configuration issues. Work with NEC representatives for NIPR and SIPR system problems, remedy tickets, and visiting personnel. Maintain security plans, inventory, and documentation, including updating diagrams and submitting required reports. Assist units with NIPR connections, account management, and permissions. Perform system imaging, backup, and repair parts procurement. Manage user accounts, perform OA duties, and support user onboarding and offboarding. Support information assurance duties, including vulnerability management, system updates, and compliance documentation. Act as the Telephone Control Officer and manage related documentation. Serve as the business manager for the Army's training database (ATCTS), managing user data and training certifications. Perform troubleshooting, coordinate with external sites, and ensure physical and cyber security measures are upheld. Basic/Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field, or five years of relevant experience. COMPTIA Security+ certification. Secret Clearance. Knowledge of Redhat Linux, Microsoft Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, ACAS, VMware, Active Directory, and RMF. Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and work independently. Support for shifts outside normal hours for 24/7 operations. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Network+ and A+. Vendor certifications for Windows, Server, and Redhat Linux.
