Founded in 1996, Duplitech is one of L.A.'s most respected independent media service labs.
We provide digital content solutions for Media and Entertainment platforms, streamers, FAST channels, and content owners. Our in-house services include: 4K film scanning & remastering, Blu-ray/DVD authoring, mezzanine package creation & QC for digital release, technical editing and asset conform, standards conversion, subtitling, and audio restoration/up mix.

Our offices are in Torrance and Burbank, CA. We currently have an opening in our FILM Department for a Colorist experienced in HDR/SDR Grading. You will be color grading a wide range of catalog films being remastered from 35mm and 16mm Film.

Job Responsibilities:

• SDR and HDR grading from log film scans
• Dolby Vision trim passes
• Ensure workflow integrity and quality standards at all times, through source evaluation, color adjustments and approvals.
• Collaborate with clients, creative, and staff to ensure the established look matches creative intent.
• Documentation through our projectmanagement platform.
• Offer creative solutions to improve efficiency, collaborating closely with our seniorcolorists and remastering team.

Skills:

• 5+ years of long-form color correction experience.
  
• Advanced knowledge of Davinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of color science, 4K, P3, HDR, Dolby Vision and color managed workflows.
• Understanding of photometric concepts such as exposure, contrast ratios, color temperature.
• Knowledge of film history and print stock characteristics; knowledge of film based workflows is a plus.
• Understanding of various file formats, codecs, color gamut, transfer functions, and video legalities.
• Strong attention to detail; ability todetect and resolve source issues.
• Technical ability to troubleshoot during color sessions.
  
• Excellent communication skills amongst staff and clients.
