The Role

Our client is seeking a Head of Proteomics to lead the strategy, development, and execution of their proteomics platform. This is a high-impact, leadership role where you will work closely with world-class computational biologists, engineers, and translational scientists to drive discoveries that will shape the next generation of therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s proteomics strategy, integrating mass spectrometry, high-throughput screening, and computational methods to generate deep biological insights.
• Build and lead a best-in-class proteomics team, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and innovation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with computational biologists, data scientists, and drug discovery teams to translate proteomics data into actionable therapeutic hypotheses.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies in the proteomics space to enhance discovery capabilities.
• Oversee external partnerships with CROs, academic collaborators, and technology providers.
• Drive publication and IP strategy in proteomics and related disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with 10+ years of industry or academic experience.
• Expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics (LC-MS/MS), quantitative proteomics, and computational analysis of proteomic datasets.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing scientific teams.
• Strong knowledge of protein biochemistry, post-translational modifications, and biomarker discovery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and translate complex data into meaningful biological insights.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven approaches to proteomics is a plus.
