About the Company and HR Assistant Opportunity:

• CFS is working with a well known client in the Southern Baltimore county area. They have been a staple in their industry for over 100 years!
• Due to growth, they are looking to hire an HR Assistant to assist with day to day HR and payroll duties.
• This position will begin right away after a video interview for the selected candidate on a contractual basis
• This position is 100% in office 8:30am-5pm.
  • Candidates must be able to commit to a full time work schedule and be local.

Job Duties of the HR Assistant:

• Assist employees with payroll and employee benefit inquiries
• Maintain employee personnel files
• Submit Worker's Compensation claims as needed
• Process FMLA and other leave requests
• Assist with and record performance reviews
• Maintain boards regarding benefit information
• Post and maintain open jobs to website, assist in interview process
• Track candidates through recruitment process in HRIS system
• Conduct background and driving record checks for new hires
• Handle admin duties such as photocopying, sorting through mail, scanning etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the HR Assistant:

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Human Resources a plus
• 2+ years' /HR experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with diverse groups of employees at all levels of an organization
• Knowledge of state and federal employment/HR regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
