Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA!

What Our Human Resources Coordinators Do

Organize, maintain, and update employee HRIS information as needed in UKG (HR system).

Compile weekly and monthly HR reports (payroll, benefits, talent acquisition).

Support the full lifecycle of talent acquisition and on-boarding process for all employees which includes posting and closing jobs, preliminary screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.

Attend job and career fairs representing Checkered Flag in a professional manner.

Assist with new hire orientation training program.

Assist with benefits administration, which includes data entry, benefit packets, benefits meetings, and auditing invoices.

Maintain employee files and documents for active and former employees.

Assist with company social and volunteering events, other HR projects as needed.

Provide customer service and assistance to employees and vendors by answering questions and requests.

Provide support and guidance to the organization’s departments regarding HR policies, processes, and best practices.

Your Pre-Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two (2) years of general HR-related experience is required.
• Working knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and procedures including recruiting, benefits, and leave.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• aPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
• Experience with UKG or other HRIS applications.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry a plus.
