Job Description

We’re currently assisting our customer in hiring a Lead Information Security Architect to spearhead the design and execution of enterprise security solutions. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive architectural strategy, implement secure network frameworks, oversee access controls, and champion encryption best practices. You’ll be hands-on in assessing risk, remediating vulnerabilities, and integrating security across IT infrastructure and development pipelines.

This role requires strategic leadership and technical depth—mentoring team members, shaping security policies, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards. You’ll also liaise across business, technical, and executive teams to maintain a resilient security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute long-term security architecture roadmaps aligned with business and regulatory needs.
• Oversee design and implementation of security controls (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, secure networks).
• Collaborate with architects and developers to embed security in application and infrastructure designs.
• Perform architecture assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and drive remediation efforts.
• Evaluate new security tools and standards to strengthen the organization’s risk profile.
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for the security team.
• Support incident response efforts and post-event investigations.

Requirements:

• 6–10 years in cybersecurity or a related domain; 10+ years overall IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Must hold certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect (Azure preferred).
• Strong communication skills; able to bridge technical and business audiences.
• Experience working in regulated environments (banking, insurance, or government).
• Must be high-energy, proactive, and capable of managing multiple engagements across cross-functional teams.

Technical Expertise:

• Proven success designing and implementing security in Azure (AWS a plus), especially for containerized environments.
• Experience with security for SDLC, application security, and encryption (including readiness for quantum threats).
• Strong understanding of network security controls and posture assessments.
• Familiar with NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and SABSA frameworks.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and NY DFS cybersecurity regulations.
