Responsibilities

• Team Leadership : Guide and mentor a team of security engineers, ensuring successful delivery of security initiatives, incident response, and vulnerability management across systems and applications.
• Technical Expertise : Actively participate in designing, implementing, and evaluating secure architectures, tools, and systems to enhance infrastructure resilience and minimize risks.
• Security Solution Deployment : Develop and implement robust security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, and access controls.
• Proactive Threat Management : Lead threat hunting initiatives and manage vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation to preemptively address security weaknesses.
• Team Growth : Foster a skilled security engineering team through mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Incident Management : Oversee technical responses to security incidents, ensuring rapid identification, containment, and resolution, while performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Automation Integration : Drive the creation and adoption of automation tools to enhance security operations, including SIEM platforms, incident management, and threat detection systems.
• Secure Development Collaboration : Work with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), supporting secure coding, code reviews, and secure deployments.
• Architecture Reviews : Perform regular security assessments of system architectures and designs to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience : 10+ years in Information Security, with expertise in enterprise-scale threat management, including threat hunting, incident response, and forensics.
• Technical Skills : Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-level IT security tools, such as endpoint security, network security, SIEM systems, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Incident Response : Hands-on experience managing the full incident response lifecycle, including prevention, detection, and post-incident analysis with alert development.
• Threat Intelligence : Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• SIEM Expertise : Experience administering and operating SIEM technologies within a SOC environment, including log parsing, query creation, and root cause analysis.
• Security Knowledge : Deep understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management, with experience in IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, encryption, and endpoint security.
• Technical Acumen : Knowledge of networking, operating systems, cloud environments (AWS, Azure preferred), and their security principles.
• Soft Skills : Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills; self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable in a dynamic, global environment.
• Programming : Experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages is a plus.
• Education & Certifications : Bachelor’s degree and current CISSP certification required.
