Insurance Defense Litigation Associate (5–10 Years)

Full-Time | In-Person | Westchester County, NY | Trial-Ready Role

A highly respected boutique litigation firm with a national reputation in insurance defense, transportation and commercial defense is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Westchester County office. If you’re a confident, articulate litigator who thrives in court and on your feet, this is the opportunity to do meaningful work — not document review.

📍 This is an in-person role based in Bedford Hills, NY. Min. 3 days/wk in office.

⚖️ About the Role:

You’ll handle a wide range of civil litigation matters, with a focus on insurance defense, transportation, and commercial liability .

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing court conferences, depositions, and motion practice
• Making strategic decisions and appearances in NY state and federal courts
• Communicating regularly and clearly with clients and insurance carriers
• Drafting high-quality reports, motions, and legal briefs
• Working directly with partners on case strategy and litigation execution

✅ Ideal Background:

• 5–10 years of litigation experience, doesn't need to be insurance litigation.
• Admitted in New York and in good standing
• Comfortable and confident with court appearances, depositions, and reporting
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Able to manage deadlines, appearances, and clients with professionalism and clarity
• Experience in trucking/transportation defense is a plus, but not required
• Background as a prosecutor is a major advantage
