Salary Range: $65,000.00 To 85,000.00 Annually, Salary will be dependent upon experience.  

Summary:

Working in a collaborative manner with Matrix civil engineers, planners and technical staff the ideal candidate would have knowledge and a background in project management, leading and coordinating project teams, and creative design.  Experience in managing and directing the preparation of plans, drawings, submittals and related documents for a variety of public and private development projects; experience in construction drawings and construction administration is required.  Experience in public engagement and public hearing presentations is beneficial.  

Essential Functions:

  • Preparation and coordination of conceptual, schematic, entitlement drawings, and construction documents for a variety of site development project types. 
  • Preparation and coordination of project graphics, 2D and 3D visualization and hand renderings for client presentation. 
  • Preparation of construction details and technical specifications.   
  • Preparation of project presentations and supporting graphic communications.  
  • Managing and leading a diverse team of designers in a multi-discipline firm  
  • Assistance to senior level staff in preparing project submittals, proposals, budget review, and quality control.    

Competencies:

Exceptional land planning and site planning skills.  

Successful completion of landscape architectural projects from  preliminary planning through final design  and construction observation for a variety of public and private projects.  

High degree of demonstrated proficiency with  AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite, and similar CAD , rendering, and graphic design programs.  

  • Capacity to integrate multi-disciplinary project approach with planners, engineers, architects, and environmental scientists.  
  • Understanding and familiarity with  Land FX  and  Lumion 3D rendering software and similar applications is highly desirable. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills. 
  • Capability to hand draw and illustrate conceptual and schematic design concepts. 
  • Knowledge of area planning review and approval process for Site Development and Landscape Architectural submittals is a plus.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for supervising, managing, and directing the technical oversight of tasks and responsibilities for Landscape Architecture and Engineering staff for a variety of public and private sector projects.  

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design and/or Planning.  
  • Constructed and accomplished project related experience.   
  • Colorado Landscape Architectural Registration or CLARB certification preferred.    
  • Four to six (4-6) years of professional experience in the private and/or public sector with references.  
  • Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company’s MVR.

The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience and work location.
