Our client is looking for a Principal Network Engineer to join their Team! This role will be responsible for or architecting, deploying, and supporting networking solutions that are reliable, scalable, secure, high-performing, and cost-efficient across various data centers and public cloud environments.

Top skills you need to have:

• Strong Networking Design and Management Expertise
• Deep understanding of data center network architectures (switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, SDN, etc.).
• Experience with ISP management — evaluating and onboarding ISPs (e.g., contract negotiation, peering, BGP setup).
• Cloud networking experience (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, GCP networking) — must be comfortable working in public cloud networking setups.
• Strong experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar for network provisioning and management.
• Comfort with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) for network equipment automation.
• Must have hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools — specifically Prometheus and Grafana (logs, metrics, and traces).
• Ability to configure alerts and proactive monitoring for network health.
• Experience evaluating, qualifying, and managing network hardware (switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls).
• Understanding of capacity planning principles to ensure networks are scalable and efficient.
• Familiarity with patching, securing, and updating network infrastructure regularly.
• Understanding of zero trust principles, encryption standards, and secure network design.
• Strong experience with multi-cloud networking (e.g., hybrid connections between AWS, Azure, GCP, and private data centers). preferred
• Certification(s) like CCNP, CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer. preferred
• Experience with centralized secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) is a plus.
• Familiarity with resource optimization and cost control in network environments. preferred
• Exposure to software-defined networking (SDN) or network automation frameworks preferred
