Job Description

Our Conroe office is seeking a Legal Assistant to research, prepare, process, and file all necessary documents for delinquent tax litigation, from suit filing to judgment. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and exceptional communication abilities. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask, take initiative, and adapt to shifting deadlines. The ideal candidate is a self-starter eager to learn new skills and complete tasks with minimal supervision. This position offers a valuable opportunity for both experienced legal assistants and entry-level applicants seeking to gain substantial legal industry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Research and prepare necessary documents for delinquent tax litigation
• Process and file legal documents from suit filing to judgment
• Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload
• Assist with communication between parties involved in litigation
• Maintain organized records and files for legal cases

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
• Previous experience as a collector or in a related field (Preferred)
• Familiarity with the Texas Property Tax system (Preferred)
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze problems and develop solutions

The base pay range for this position is $35,360 annually ($17 per hour), excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
