Legal Assistant /Paralegal - Discovery Response Team

Position Overview:

We're seeking a motivated Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our dynamic Discovery Response Team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of legal innovation, working with state-of-the-art AI technology to prepare discovery responses for our lawyer-customers and train our proprietary AI discovery responses system. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable legal experience while contributing to the development of groundbreaking legal tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our in-house AI systems to draft comprehensive discovery responses for various legal cases.
• Communicate effectively with lawyer-customers' clients to gather necessary information for discovery responses.
• Review and refine AI-generated drafts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal standards.
• Work closely with our Director of Quality Assurance to maintain high standards of work product.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our AI systems by providing feedback and insights from your work.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
• Stay updated on legal procedures and best practices in discovery response preparation.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
• 1-3 years of experience in a legal setting, with exposure to the discovery processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and willingness to learn new technologies
• Basic understanding of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in personal injury law
• Paralegal certification

Salary Range:

$60k - $80k DOE
