Legal Project Manager – In-House Legal Department

$80,000 - $90,000+

A growing and innovative company is building out its new in-house legal department. This is a rare chance to join at the ground level and help shape the future of legal operations internally, partnering directly with the Chief Legal Officer and gaining broad exposure to global legal and business functions. This is not a typical legal support role—it's strategic, fast-paced, and ideal for someone looking to grow beyond traditional paralegal duties.

Job Description:

• Serve as a legal project manager, triaging incoming legal issues and coordinating across internal teams, outside counsel, and global legal partners.
• Support board and governance functions, including preparing minutes, assisting with meetings, and maintaining records.
• Manage and support corporate governance and compliance processes across U.S. and international entities.
• Collaborate on real estate, M&A, and cross-border transactions, including due diligence and document preparation.
• Help develop internal legal systems, workflows, and documentation from the ground up.
• Be a strategic partner to the Chief Legal Officer - working closely on sensitive, high-priority matters and learning alongside leadership.

To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will have:

• Paralegal experience (5+ years preferred), especially in corporate, real estate, or transactional law.
• Experience in corporate law is required; bonus if you’ve worked with subsidiaries or international legal structures.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and pivot quickly.
• Comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and figuring out next steps without hand-holding.
• A polished, detail-oriented communicator who can interact confidently with attorneys, executives, and outside counsel.
