We have three manufacturing facilities, multiple corporate-owned retail showrooms, and a global distribution network. We have an opening for a Long-Distance Driver at our Manlius, NY facility. Pay Range: $25.00-$31.00 $7,500 Sign On Bonus Annual Safe Driving & Incentive Bonuses Position Overview: We currently have an opening for a CDL-A driver. This position will service regional and long distance tractor trailer deliveries to our dealers. Direct interaction with our customers and dealers requires good communication skills, both written and oral, and good follow-through with attention to detail. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the safe operation of any vehicle that is driven Responsible for reviewing and adhering to the driver code of conduct as established by Stickley Responsible for ensuring compliance will all federal motor carrier safety regulations, state and federal department of transportation regulations, OSHA, and other applicable state and federal laws. Specifically including but not limited to regulations surrounding hours of service, driver logs, driver vehicle condition reports Responsible for the delivering to customers on time and to drive the most efficient route possible and for delivering to our customers on routine basis Reviews the paper work for the load and get an understanding of the geographic route for the load Review how the furniture is loaded on the truck before departing to ensure the furniture is loaded and secured properly Responsible for an accurate accounting of the furniture delivered to each customer by checking off the appropriate delivery documents and securing a signature from the customer to acknowledge the pieces delivered and notes any exceptions and/or damages to the furniture or the customer's property Utilizes various devices such as carts, dollies, hand trucks, straps, etc. to aid in the delivery process Communicates as needed with customer service representatives and the transportation coordinator May be required to be away from their domiciled location for 4 to 5 nights per week Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package that includes: Flexible Paid Time Off Perfect Attendance Program 9 Paid Holidays Group health, prescription, dental insurance coverage Company paid life insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Flexible spending account Generous employee furniture discount The compensation range provided in this job posting is a general guideline.
