Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Elementary School in West Omaha is seeking a full-time Middle School (5th-8th grade) music teacher, as well as a pre-kindergarten music teacher. Applicants will need to demonstrate skills in music, music theory, various musical instruments, and Catholic music traditions and ideally be able to play at our middle school and/or all-school masses.
This person will work with our kindergarten to 4th-grade music teacher as well as the music director for the parish.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants should possess a strong foundation in music theory and be familiar with the traditions of Catholic music. Should have strong classroom instructional skills, along with effective classroom management skills. This individual will be collaborating with the younger grades music teacher as well as the parish music director. The music teacher will help plan and conduct the music for weekly school masses.

Education and Experience
Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements.
Complete the Safe Environment Training requirement.
Experience working with Middle School and elementary students desired.
Expertise with music curriculum.
