The Mixologist crafts exceptional beverage experiences that complement the ambiance and premium offerings of an exclusive lounge. He/She combines liquors and other ingredients to create unique and flavorful cocktails. The Mixologist has an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of beverage recipes and is creative in his/her approach to mixing drinks. The Mixologist possesses a deep focus on “Unreasonable Hospitality” and is motivated by creating bespoke experiences.

Job Responsibilities

 
Craftsmanship in Mixology
  • Design and prepare innovative, high-quality cocktails that align with the luxury brand and exceed guest expectations
  • Develop a beverage menu that pairs perfectly with the lounge’s cigar offerings, focusing on balance, flavor, and sophistication
  • Stay informed about mixology trends, premium spirits, and techniques, incorporating them into the lounge’s offerings
Hospitality and Guest Experience
  • Deliver an elevated level of service, creating personalized experiences for guests through expert recommendations and impeccable attention to detail
  • Engage with guests to educate them on beverage options, pairings, and the stories behind the ingredients and spirits
  • Maintain a polished and professional demeanor, representing the elegance of the lounge
Operational Excellence
  • Manage bar inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, replenishment, and cost control of premium spirits and ingredients
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the bar area, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist with ordering and vendor relations to ensure the bar is stocked with high-quality, sought-after products
  • Collaborate with team members to execute private events, tastings, and other exclusive experiences
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the lounge team to provide a seamless, integrated experience for guests
  • Share mixology expertise with team members, training them on the menu and preparation techniques
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to innovate new drinks and enhance the overall lounge experience
Job Requirements  
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a bartender or mixologist in a luxury or fine-dining setting
  • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification or ServSafe Alcohol Certification required
  • Expertise in cocktail preparation, spirit knowledge, and beverage pairing
  • A genuine passion for mixology and the ability to share that enthusiasm with guests and colleagues
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with cigars and cigar pairings is highly preferred but not required
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with high-profile clientele
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch environment
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy bottles, trays and other equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
Compensation, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.
