We are currently looking for a professional and experienced Painter Main Contractor to commit to working 40 hours per week, up to 6 days a week, in the GTA area, with a primary focus on the M5P postal code. This role involves managing painting tasks for apartment turnovers and ensuring high-quality, timely completion of projects. This is a contract-based position with a flexible schedule, depending on project needs.

Scope of Work

• Perform painting tasks for apartment turnovers, including minor repairs and surface preparation.
• Ensure high-quality painting finishes in all units to be turned to new tenants.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of all work areas; paint spills must be immediately cleaned up before they dry up. Leftover spills that need to be cleaned by subsequent cleaning services will be charged back.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear. Adhere to local regulations and building codes related to painting. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper disposal of painting materials.
• Be available for on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Manage and deploy additional resources during high-demand periods to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Use our mobile application daily to check in, upload pictures, and check out

Must-Haves to Be Considered:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in condo painting.
• Demonstrable knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and finishes.
• Experience managing painting projects.
• Registered company with the ability to mobilize additional resources as needed.
• Knowledge and expertise with hand and power tools used in painting.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for transporting tools and materials.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and work at heights on ladders.
• Excellent decision-making abilities and capacity to handle stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good problem-solving skills to address and overcome challenges during the shift.
• Ability to communicate well in English, both written and oral.
• Professional demeanor with a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check for each team member working with us.
• Mobile phone with internet access and iOS 14+ or Android 7+ versions.
• Be reliable, professional, on time, and detail-oriented.

Job Type : Contractor

Rate : $24/hour. Additional resources will be paid on a per square foot basis for full apartment painting or at a fixed lump sum for touch-ups (e.g., a couple of walls).

Probable Start Date : Feb 1, 2025

How You Will Get Paid :

• Perform services as booked on a Monday-Sunday cycle.
• Mid-following week, an invoice draft will be sent for confirmation.
• Payment is made by direct deposit each Friday for the prior week.
