Part-Time Van Driver (School Age)
Location: Grace Early Learning Center, Elkridge, MD
Service Area: Rockburn Elementary, Ducketts Lane Elementary, and Elkridge Elementary (Local Elkridge routes only)
Schedule
• Morning Run: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Afternoon Run: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
(Consistent weekday schedule, ideal for someone seeking steady, part-time hours.)
About the Position
Grace Early Learning Center, located in the heart of Elkridge, Maryland, is seeking a dependable and caring Part-Time Van Driver to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students to and from local elementary schools, including Rockburn Elementary, Ducketts Lane Elementary, and Elkridge Elementary. The ideal candidate is friendly, safety-focused, and enjoys being part of a supportive childcare team. You will represent Grace Early Learning Center with professionalism and warmth while providing a reliable and positive experience for the children in your care.
Primary Responsibilities
· Safely transport children between Grace Early Learning Center and local Elkridge schools (Rockburn, Ducketts Lane, and Elkridge Elementary).
· Ensure all students are properly secured and all safety protocols are followed.
· Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
· Maintain communication with the Center Director and teaching staff regarding transportation schedules.
· Keep accurate attendance and transport records.
· Foster a calm, positive, and friendly environment for children during transport.
· Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and fueled as needed.
Qualifications
· Must be 25 years or older
· Valid Maryland Driver’s License
· Clean driving record
· Ability to pass a federal and state background check
· Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
· Comfortable communicating with parents, staff, and children
· A genuine love for working with kids and supporting a nurturing environment
