Pipe Fitter (Night Shift) Job Description As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting carbon steel pipe of various sizes. Fit up offsets/calculations. You will perform saddle cuts, use a cutting torch, tape measure, beveler, and tack welding. Additionally, you will read blueprints to ensure accurate installation and assembly.
Responsibilities - Perform saddle cuts and use a cutting torch.
- Utilize tape measure and beveler for precise measurements.
- Conduct tack welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints for accurate pipe installation and assembly.
Essential Skills - 5+ years of experience as a pipe fitter in a manufacturing company.
- Ability to pass a written pipe fitter test.
- Possession of a blue book.
- Experience with tack welding.
- Proficiency in saddle cuts and pipe beveling.
- Ability to read blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience as a pipe fabricator and assembler.
- Skills in pipe assembly, tack welding, and fitting.
Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing shop that is non-climate controlled and onsite. Candidates must be open to working day or night shifts, each starting at 5 AM or 5 PM.
Pay rate depends on shift and skill level, day shift pays up to $31/hr, night shift could pay up to $34/hr
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $31.00/hr.
