About the Position

The Project Associate will support the DPS team with administrative and programmatic support in the day-to-day operations of program management and business development. The Project Associate will work closely with DPS Program Managers to support and assist in delivering outstanding services on institutional support contracts for the US government. The Project Associate will assist DPS Program Managers in meeting business development targets by supporting both long-term and urgent opportunities.

Business Development functions will include conducting opportunity and client research, drafting technical inputs for proposal and RFI responses, and supporting recruitment efforts. Program Management functions will include supporting administrative and HR areas such as timesheet reviews, new employee onboarding, expense report reconciliation, and invoice reviews.

The Project Associate must be flexible, customer service oriented, driven, and interested in learning the ins and outs of business development and program management at a fast-paced, growing government contracting and international development firm. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to client support, teamwork, and collaborating and learning, in order to best contribute to the overall goals and mission of the DPS team.

This is a full-time position is based in Arlington, VA and will be required to be in the office at two (2) days a week

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Support capture efforts including bid tracking, opportunity research, and client research.
  • Support the development and drafting of technical inputs in response to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Support proposal coordination of bids including developing proposal calendars, bid budgets, and supporting proposal team members.
  • Support copyediting and formatting and production of proposals and related documents.
  • Support team members with proposal recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, formatting CVs, and screening prospective candidates.
  • Learn and adapt to Dexis Business Development procedures and guidelines.
  • Update SharePoint sites, maintain trackers, and organize business development files and documents.

Project Management

  • Support administrative tasks for DPS projects including timesheet reviews, recruitment tasks, AP compliance, and procurement support.
  • Support candidate outreach, schedule interviews, and assist with employee onboarding.
  • Update and maintain project trackers for personnel, equipment, invoices, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Collaborate effectively with Dexis home office teams such as HR, recruitment, finance, IT, and AP as needed.
  • Organize and update project files and documents in SharePoint regularly.
  • Assist Program Managers in drafting inputs for project deliverables.
  • Arrange travel logistics including flights, hotel reservations, travel insurance, and visas for DPS employees and/or consultants.
  • Provide administrative support to employees and consultants with items such as travel advances, expense reports, professional development fund requests, etc.
Qualifications

  • BA in business administration, finance, or international relations.
  • At least one (1) year of work experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively support multiple, fast-paced assignments, juggle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to produce clear, compelling, and accurate written and oral communications.
  • Interest and ability in learning government contracting procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively, work collaboratively in a small team, and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Willingness to work in start-up or close-out, with non-standard hours as needed.

Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

Dexis pay range for this role:

$52,500—$52,500 USD
