Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: San Leandro, Ca

Salary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 annually

Our client is a long-standing, full-service civil construction firm known for delivering high-impact infrastructure projects across Northern California. They are seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale grading, paving, concrete, and underground utility work. What you will be doing:

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating day-to-day field activities
• Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Perform quantity take-offs and support the estimating team during preconstruction
• Track labor, materials, and scheduling to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal crews to ensure timely delivery of project components
• Maintain documentation such as as-built drawings, safety logs, and daily reports
• Participate in project meetings and facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in concrete, paving, or utilities
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and estimating techniques
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites in Northern California
