🌿 Job Opportunity: Renewable Energy Technician I

📍 Location: 100% Onsite – Cabery, IL 60919

💼 Type: 3 Months temp contract

💰 Pay Rate: $22.50 – $23/hour

🌬️ What You'll Be Doing (Scope of Role):

Under the guidance of an experienced technician and the direction of the site manager, you’ll gain practical, on-the-job experience assisting with:

  • Maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and/or photovoltaic (solar) power systems
  • Installation and inspection of renewable energy equipment
  • Troubleshooting and performing basic diagnostics of electrical and mechanical systems

🔧 Daily Responsibilities:

80% In the Field

  • Assist in maintaining equipment and tools
  • Support equipment servicing, testing, and data collection
  • Follow safety procedures and attend technical training
  • Learn and live our core values: Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Passion, Transparency, Good Sense, Accountability

15% Administrative

  • Help document job completions and track supply orders
  • Submit daily work orders and time logs

5% Other Duties

  • Contribute to special projects and other assigned tasks as needed

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 0–2 years of experience in renewable energy or a related technical field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Ability to pass safety and technical training
  • Basic computer skills and communication abilities
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn in a team-focused environment

💪 Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to climb to heights of up to 300 ft and work in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for long periods
  • Comfortable with exposure to high voltage, moving parts, and vibrations
  • Must not exceed 285 lbs due to safety harness requirements
