As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone you encounter. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
