Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

Job Details We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our well-established and growing team! This role that offers a unique opportunity to work with a team of forward-thinking professionals in the space industry. This role requires a deep understanding of electromechanical components. The Senior Quality Engineer will be a key player in our team, using their expertise in 8D problem-solving, leading audits, managing a Quality Management Systems (QMS), and overseeing the CAPA process.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and implementation of quality control procedures and plans.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
3. Use 8D problem-solving techniques to address and resolve quality issues.
4. Act as the Audi Lead, managing and coordinating all quality-related activities.
5. Track, trend, and analyze Quality Management System (QMS) metrics.
6. Prepare and present nonconformance reports, providing clear and concise analysis of issues and proposed solutions.
7. Implement corrective actions promptly to eliminate root causes of nonconformance.
8. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
9. Train team members on quality control procedures and standards.
10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices for quality assurance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not required).
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role.
3. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
4. Proven experience with electronics and electromechanical components.
5. Strong working knowledge of 8D problem-solving techniques (preferred but not required).
6. Experience as an Audi Lead, managing and coordinating quality-related activities.
7. Expertise in utilizing a Quality Management Systems (QMS).
8. Ability to manage Non-Conformance and Corrective Action systems
