Impact As a Senior Mobile Developer working remotely on Shipt’s Member Mobile App team, you will focus on building a world-class mobile experience for Shipt marketplace consumers and architecting reliable, performant, and scalable React Native solutions. You will work with a cross-functional team including app, web, and backend engineers, a product manager, a designer, and an engineering manager. Your projects will range from discovery to launch, delivering features across the nation, utilizing data-driven approaches for experiments and iterations. Technologies involved include React Native, React Context, NodeJS, React Query, Typescript, GraphQL, CircleCI, Bugsnag, Amplitude, and Detox. Responsibilities include code reviews, guiding design discussions, participating in release processes, and mentoring team members. What You’ll Need to Be Successful 5+ years of developer experience, with 2+ years in React Native Experience with native packages and complex package upgrades is a bonus Experience with testing: unit, integration, e2e, etc. Strong collaboration skills with Design and Product teams Ability to communicate complex ideas concisely Experience with code reviews and advocating best practices Mentorship and guidance skills Experience leading efforts to improve app maintainability, stability, and performance Version control skills (e.g., Github) Work Arrangement Shipt offers hybrid options for candidates near Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis, with flexibility to work from home or office, depending on role and leader approval.
