Senior Thermal Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead the detailed thermal design of spacecraft at both the component and integrated levels. This role involves developing thermal management strategies, validating them through testing, and ensuring reliable system performance in space.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust thermal designs for avionics and other electro-mechanical subsystems.
• Build and operate thermal modeling tools to support key design decisions down to the component level.
• Develop and conduct tests to validate in-space component and thermal control system performance.
• Guide material selection for spacecraft components.
• Collaborate with system designers to optimize overall spacecraft thermal performance.

Ideal Qualifications

• Proven experience in heat transfer modeling using numerical methods with validated results.
• Hands-on experience with TVAC and thermal cycle testing for space hardware.
• Experience designing spacecraft thermal management systems, from simulation through to functional hardware.
