Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM or 8:00AM – 4:00PM

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time role ensures efficient coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and store incoming shipments
• Prepare bills of lading for customer orders
• Ensure products are packed, labeled, and recorded correctly
• Maintain accurate shipping records
• Optimize shipping routes and negotiate courier rates
• Direct drivers on truck parking and loading/unloading
• Track shipments and communicate delays
• Lead and support shipping team members
• Work with scheduling, inventory, and operations teams
• Manage warehouse storage and returns
• Contribute to production meetings and process improvements
• Enforce safety regulations and PPE use
• Manage a team of 4 – 5 direct reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in a Shipping and Receiving position
• Experience managing a team
• Knowledge of international shipping, especially Europe and US
• Experience with freight brokers and carriers
• Proficiency in customs paperwork and documentation
• Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory processes
• In-depth knowledge of company products and SKUs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
