In this in-person, Tampa-based role, youll be the face and voice of ReDefinersenthusiastically sharing our programs, services, and events with individuals, organizations, and community partners. Your work will spark new connections, grow partnerships, and help recruit outstanding AmeriCorps Member Tutors who are ready to serve.

Youll bring strong interpersonal skills, a proactive spirit, and excellent organizational abilities to manage outreach activities, schedule events, and create clear paths for relationship building and volunteer recruitment.

By stepping into this role, youre joining AmeriCorpsa national service network dedicated to strengthening communities. This is a volunteer service position that includes a monthly living allowance, as well as potential eligibility for additional AmeriCorps benefits upon successful completion of your term. While you will not be a direct employee of ReDefiners, well be your managing partnerguiding your service journey, overseeing your allowance, and reporting your impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Partnership Support

• Assist in maintaining and strengthening partnerships with community organizations, schools, and stakeholders to support AmeriCorps member recruitment.

• Help identify community groups and events that align with ReDefiners mission and can serve as recruitment channels.

• Represent ReDefiners World Languages at local events, fairs, and networking opportunities to promote programs and volunteer service opportunities.

• Provide follow-up communication with potential partners and contacts established by the Social Impact Coordinator.

Program Outreach & Recruitment

• Conduct outreach to potential AmeriCorps member candidates through community visits, information sessions, and targeted communication.

• Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns, including flyer distribution, social media engagement, and email outreach.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to share accurate and engaging information about AmeriCorps service opportunities with ReDefiners.

• Assist in preparing and delivering brief presentations to community groups, schools, and other audiences about ReDefiners programs and AmeriCorps service benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or degree in communications, education, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with diverse individuals and groups in person, by phone, and online.
• Enthusiasm for community service, volunteerism, and the mission of ReDefiners World Languages.

• Ability to work proactively, follow direction, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic experience in outreach, customer service, or community engagement preferred.

• Comfortable representing an organization at public events and interacting with community partners.

• Proficient in basic computer applications (Google Workspace) and comfortable learning new technology tools.

• Reliable transportation to attend in-person events and meetings in the Tampa, FL area.

• Willingness to serve as an AmeriCorps member, including adherence to AmeriCorps guidelines and requirements.

Service Commitment

As an AmeriCorps member serving with ReDefiners World Languages, youll commit to completing 900 hours of service between your start date and July 31, 2026. This is achieved through a regular weekly schedule of service hours, allowing you to make steady progress toward your total while building meaningful relationships and creating impact in the community. Consistent participation is essential to successfully complete your term and earn your AmeriCorps benefits.
