We are hiring a Software Engineer, Mobile Development to join our team located in San Francisco, California.

As The Software Engineer, Mobile Development, You Will

  • Lead the end-to-end development of our mobile applications using React Native to ensure high performance, responsiveness, and a seamless user experience
  • Utilize existing web codebases, such as NextJS and TypeScript, where possible to optimize development efficiency and maintain code consistency across platforms
  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable architecture for the mobile app including data handling and integration with backend services

Essential Qualifications For This Position Include

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Professional work experience as a software engineer, mobile development
  • Ability to develop in JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native and mobile development frameworks.
  • Ability to use mobile app architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration
  • Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.

Preferred Qualifications For This Position Include

  • Ability to develop with native iOS/Android development
  • Knowledge of AWS services and an understanding of Next.js and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and the development of AI-driven features and models
  • Prior professional work experience in a start-up organization

This is a hybrid work opportunity and our teams operate from the San Francisco office located on Third and Mission Street at least 4 (four) days per week. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package to employees.

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $127,000 to $183,000 for candidates working from the State Affairs office in San Francisco, California. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with State Affairs.
