The 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing became the first wing to provide highly-trained ground combat forces capable of integrating air and space power into the ground scheme of fire and maneuver. The wing members conduct offensive and defensive ground combat operations worldwide to protect expeditionary aerospace forces with an airborne capability.
The CSCS works alongside the 820th BDG. This includes the 822 "Safeside", 823 "Jesters", 824 "Ghost Walkers" and the 820 COS "Reapers". On a daily/weekly basis, the CSCS communicates with squadron leadership to effectively design, communicate, and facilitate squadron PT with the goal of improving the functional fitness levels and preparedness of our airmen, in order to prepare them for the physical demands of daily training exercises, job duties, and deployment.

The overall purpose is to provide injury prevention, strength and conditioning services necessary to accomplish the aforementioned mission and associated tasks as required herein.

Specific Task Requirements.
Specifically, the CSCS is preparing airmen for their roles including patrols, completing training jumps from C-130s, running exercises on the climbing wall, land navigation, a ruck with varying distances and loadings (plus extra equipment that different airmen may be carrying), combative trainings, and mission readiness exercises.
A typical day at the WACoE (Warrior Athlete Center of Excellence) looks like opening the Center and preparing it for the daily PT session, breakdown and resetting as needed. Facilitating 1 on 1 sessions with soldiers preparing for Advanced Schooling, or designing programs for airmen to utilize in preparation for PT tests and other physical assessments. Work alongside the Athletic Training professionals, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and other professional staff to provide a holistic approach to wellness and physicality to ensure that airmen of any rank, status, or ability can be physically, mentally, and spiritually ready to Fly, Fight, and Win!
