**** Please note: This role sits in our Charlotte, NC office two days per week. Initially, we are only considering local candidates.****

Position Summary

As a company committed to engineering socks that help people achieve their personal best, the Supply Planner will work closely with planners to translate demand forecasts into supply requirements and expedite goods as needed to meet desire customer service levels of inventory.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inventory and PO Management:
  • Manage inventory levels and flow of goods to meet customer demand, inventory expectations and prevent stock outs on both basic in-line styles and seasonal styles.
  • Understand supplier matrix and be able to issue POs according to suggested order needs within capacity limits by supplier/machine type.
  • Build supplier forecast for order preparation, capacity planning and supplier yarn needs.
  • Analyze supply needs and have knowledge of expected transit times by supplier location to determine shipping method, expediting skus as needed to maintain adequate safety stock levels.
  • Manage open orders and track inbound shipments, working closely with logistics coordinator to identify impacts on inventory availability when there is a change in transit time.
  • Maintain supply settings in Demand Caster that impact suggested orders per sku.

  • Analysis :
  • Analyze and Report weekly OOS list for skus with critically low inventory levels and alert all teams on future stock out risks and liabilities.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and customer service on new product launches and communicate any foreseeable delays based on incoming receipts.
  • Analyze and respond to Customer service and sales requests on at once orders, using knowledge of current and incoming inventory and allocation priorities.
  • Notify planner if actual orders exceed forecast in any given channel/month and notify customer service of order errors that need to be corrected due to date errors.
  • Communicate priorities to domestic suppliers based on inventory levels as needs change within the lead time.
  • Pull booking program results and color breakdowns for seasonal items in pre-season planning.

Here’s how our ideal candidate can knock our socks off!

  • Knowledge of inventory management, planning or supply planning processes in a retailer/distributor environment
  • Familiarity with Demand and Supply Planning Systems (DemandCaster is a plus)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business (Finance/Accounting/Supply Chain/Procurement)
  • 2+ years of planning, supply chain or analyst experience
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency is a must
  • Excellent communication and follow up skills
  • Attention to detail and data mining focus
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
